Hi there, and welcome to my home here on the web. My name is Victor and this blog is where I will be documenting certain areas of my life, share advice and express myself on subjects that are of interest to me and my readers.
First of all, please excuse me for any spelling errors, grammar mistakes, etc., that I might make. English is not my mother tongue. That said, I think I got the English language nailed down pretty well. I also try to run everything that I write through grammar and spell check software, so hopefully that will minimize the possibility of there being grammar and spelling errors in my content.
Having said all that, in hindsight, this may not have been the best way to start off my introduction post since I am after all a freelance writer who is often looking for more clients to work with (many people shy away from freelance writers whose native language is something other than English), but, I value honesty and transparency so I am sure that this will be alright. Not a single client so far have complained, neither have they ever asked me where I am from. Many of them seem to assume that I was born in a majority English-speaking country.
Direction
The title of this post promised you that this article would tell you what you can expect from this blog, and to some extent, it will, but please do not be disappointed if some of the predictions made here in this post do not end up being accurate.
You see, I plan on keeping this blog around for a while, so it is quite difficult to know everything at such an early stage.
However, what I do know for certain is that I will use this blog as a way to document my freelance writing career. (link to services page)
I will of course share the lessons that I learn a long the way with you. Whether that be sharing tips on how to find more and better clients, writing better content, or how you can maximize your income.
I would not expect you to be interested in reading this blog if there was not anything on here that is of value to you.
I might write reviews of freelance websites such as Elance and Odesk when and if I ever get some experience working off of these websites.
It is quite possible that I will also write about subjects such as marketing, how to make money online, productivity, fitness, healthy eating, etc.
I suppose I might also write reviews of other websites, services and products as well.
At the time of writing this, I do not plan on keeping a laser focus for this blog. Is that a good idea strategy-wise? I do not know and neither do I really care too much. I have no plan on making huge amounts of money off of this blog, and neither do I plan on getting a huge following.
Making Cash
Will I ever earn any significant amounts of money off of this blog? I do not know and neither do I know if I will make any real attempt to do just that. I guess in the unlikely event that it became a high-traffic blog, that I would reconsider and maybe put a bit more effort into the money-making part of the equation.
That said, I will probably link to various other websites and most likely to products as well, so when possible, I will use affiliate links (I do not see how that would hurt either me or my visitors so why not?). However, I vow to be completely transparent with such things so I will let you know when a link is an affiliate link.
Will I ever advertise? Probably not, at least not through something ugly-looking such as adsense (just my personal opinion). But who knows, I might put up a banner or two in the future.
Anyway, as I briefly touched upon earlier, documenting my journey and giving some sort of value in the form of advice, tips and tricks in the main purpose of this blog, as well as enjoying myself.
However, regardless of whether if I decide to make any cash directly off of this blog or not, I will certainly advertise my freelance services on this blog/website. So in a way, I suppose you could say that I will make some money off of this website.
How Will I Promote This Website?
I am not sure to be honest how I will go about promoting this blog. I have already put a link to it in my post signature on the Warrior Forum (I will share a link to the forum further down). I will probably do the same thing over at the Digital Point Forum if I ever do become active in posting over there.
Other than that, I am not quite sure. I might make a guest post or two, and I will probably leave a few comments over on other blogs when I feel that I have something of value to contribute. Other than that, I will probably just focus on writing the best content that I can and we will see how the traffic turns out. I think I will survive if this website does not become a high-trafficked one.
I do not plan on writing with SEO in mind. This may not be the best strategy, but I could not care any less to be honest. If SEO optimised content is something that my freelance writing clients want, then so be it, but for this blog, I will leave it out. Besides, I am sure that a lot of the SEO will take care of itself naturally if I just focus on writing epic shit.
I have also installed what seems to be a great plugin for making it convenient to share webpages on social platforms, so hopefully, some of my readers will share my content with others.
Domain Registering and Hosting
I used Bluehost (affiliate link) to register the domain and to get one year of hosting. I have heard great things about Bluehost from a great number of website owners, but also more specifically from Pat Flynn, someone whom I trust quite a bit.
So far everything has gone very smooth and I have not experienced any problems. Is Bluehost a good choice for registerting domains and for hosting? Well, it seems so.
That said, you should know that I do not know that much about these things (I am no tech wizard) and neither do I have much experience with other hosting companies, so take what I say with a bit of grain of salt.
I have used GoDaddy (for registering domains) and HostGator (for hosting) in the past and I have not had any bad experiences with them either.
However, it was over a year ago since I last used them both so a lot could have changed since then. I was also even less knowledgeable back then, so again: I should not be your number one go-to guy for learning more about the different options available concerning hosting and registering domains.
Anyway, for whatever it is worth, from my limited experience, I am very happy with Bluehost and that will be my preferred choice for hosting websites from now on.
It might also be worth pointing out that I run this blog on WordPress.
Thanks
Last of all, I just want to thank a few persons (none of whom I have had the pleasure of meeting) that have inspired me and helped me tremendously up until this point. Check them out.
Eben Pagan for his great knowledge in marketing and productivity. He seems to know tons about a subjects such as health, marketing, sales and personal development.
He is a great inspiration to me.
Gary Vaynerchuk for his drive and passion. It rubs off on me. Here is his website.
Pat Flynn from SPI for sharing such huge amounts of advice and golden nuggets about blogging and marketing.
Glen Allsopp from Viperchill for the immense value that he shares in his blog posts. His posts are some of the absolute best on the web, no doubt.
I have also learned a lot from the WarriorForum. There seems to be a lot of very nice and helpful members on there. I will continue to visit it. I will also continue to advertise my freelance services on there.
Here is my Twitter. I just opened my account.
Here is my contact page in case you want to send me a message with any questions, comments or criticism that you may have.
Do not forget to subscribe to my blog in case you want updates.
Also, I would love if you could leave a comment below and introduce yourself. I intend to make friends and would love to hear from you.

I’ve spend years making money on SEO (mostly link building) and I highly believe you can get more out of your time by writing guest posts. Instead of always looking for the latest and best techniques to build backlinks with the risk of being banned of search engines you can spend the time creating awesome content and reach out to other bloggers who often will end up linking to you if you become friends.
Looking forward to seeing more posts form you.
Hi Stefan,
Yes, I have heard that guest posting is a great way to build an audience. I might look into it when I have thought of something valuable that I could share and when I have a few more posts here on my own blog.
I will take a look at your website. Thank you for visiting and congratulations to you for leaving the very first comment on my blog.

Hi there Irving,
I do not know much about ClickBank. If I were you, I would suggest checking out the WarriorForum (www.warriorforum.com) and see if you can get some help there. I think that there are ton of people over there who have experience in making money using ClickBank.
I am sorry that I couldn’t be of much help.
Kind regards,
